GAMING AS A NEXUS (GaaN) - Next generation Games as a Service empowering the players

Games as a Service (GaaS) has proven to be a very successful business model, offering on-going revenue streams through free to play games with in game micro-transactions, seasonal subscriptions and expansions. It has however become rather greedy. If game development priorities were represented on a pie chart, revenue generating is of course an important consideration but it should only take up a healthy slice of the pie, next to quality gameplay and great user experience. What we are seeing more frequently now are game developers increasing the revenue generating slice so much that all other aspects of the game suffer and it becomes a 'copy and paste' mobile game, little creativity, poor UX and gives nothing back to the players or community.

In GaaN, we separate the game items from the games themselves so they become player owned, either account bound or held in crypto wallets and have cross-franchise integration, meaning items collected in one game can be used in any other game within the franchise...importantly, the blockchain is OPTIONAL!

Ownit Games are the creators of Gaming as a Nexus (GaaN), the next generation of GaaS designed to place Gaming at the focal point of an ecosystem of interconnected games,

where players are empowered to own their in game purchases, trade them, AND use them across all games within the ecosystem franchise.

In GaaN, we separate the game items from the games themselves, they are player owned, either account bound or held in crypto wallets and have cross-franchise integration, meaning items collected in one game are not tied to that game, they can be used in any other game within the franchise.

The result is unprecedented value creation with an ever growing community and demand as the ecosystem grows. The GaaS model still underpins the games but now players receive a far greater value proposition to their purchases which increases with the expanding ecosystem of games

Amplified Long-Term Player Engagement: Players accumulate assets and progress that carry over across our different games, greatly extending their engagement within our ecosystem. This extended player lifecycle translates into a greater value proposition, sustained revenue generation and builds a dedicated player base and demand for new product sales.

SEAMLESS WEB 2 <-> WEB 3 BRIDGE

GaaN bridges the web 2 and web 3 communities allowing them to seamlessly play together and, most importantly, the blockchain is OPTIONAL! Assets are either account bound or held in players crypto wallets... Players choose!

We tap into the immense market potential of both traditional and emerging blockchain gaming

THE GaaN ADVANTAGE:

Gaming as a Nexus offers several advantages that can drive more value compared to a traditional Game as a Service (GaaS) model, as follows:

Enhanced Interconnectedness

In a traditional GaaS model, games are standalone experiences with limited connections to each other. However, Gaming as a Nexus creates a more interconnected environment where players can leverage assets and progress across multiple games within the franchise. This level of interconnectedness provides a more cohesive and immersive player experience, leading to increased engagement and retention.

Amplified Value of In-Game Purchases

With Gaming as a Nexus, in-game purchases hold increased value to the players. They can utilise their acquired items across various games within the franchise. This not only enhances the utility and enjoyment of their purchases but also extends the lifespan, relevance and collectability of those items. Consequently, players perceive a higher value proposition, making them more likely to pay for in-game purchases.

Cross-Promotion and Cross-Exposure

By leveraging a Gaming as a Nexus approach, each game within the franchise becomes an opportunity for cross-promotion and cross-exposure. Players who are engaged with one game are more likely to explore and try out other games within the franchise, leading to increased player acquisition and retention across the ecosystem. This cross-pollination of players creates a network effect that drives organic growth and expands the overall player base, particularly if games are of different genres.

Economies of Scale and Shared Infrastructure

Gaming as a Nexus allows for shared infrastructure, tools, and technologies across games within the franchise. This leads to cost efficiencies and improved development processes. Shared resources, such as server infrastructure, analytics systems, and player support, can be utilised collectively, reducing operational costs and improving the overall quality of the gaming experience.

Community and Social Integration

The interconnected nature of Gaming as a Nexus fosters a stronger sense of community and social interaction among players. With shared assets and progress, players can collaborate, compete, and communicate across multiple games within the franchise. This social integration enhances player engagement, cultivates a loyal community, and encourages ongoing participation.

Amplified Long-Term Player Engagement

Players accumulate assets and progress that carry over across our different games, greatly extending their engagement within our ecosystem. This extended player lifecycle translates into a greater value proposition, sustained revenue generation and builds a dedicated player base and demand for new product sales. Long-Term Player Engagement:

SUMMARY

Gaming as a Nexus offers a more holistic and valuable experience for players compared to a traditional GaaS model. It encourages player engagement and retention within a thriving ecosystem of interconnected games.
